May 2017 – NASA renewed HFA Contract for Organizational Safety Effectiveness Survey (OSES) for assessing safety climate and Safety Management Systems (SMS). This event marked the 7th year in support of NASA Aviation Safety, and the fourth application of OSES.

March 2017 Dr. Ciavarelli served as an invited participant at 2017 Round Table on SMS, Paris. https://www.itf-oecd.org/safety-management-systems-roundtable. He was a co-rapporteur of the Safety Management System (SMS) Round Table Report to be published by OECD – ITF.
May 2017 HFA finished report for REACH Air Medical Services Organizational Effectiveness Survey – OSES. The OSES examines safety climate and SMS effectiveness.
