The primary mission of HFA is to provide assessment and performance enhancement tools designed to improve the performance of people and their organizations. Human Factors Associates, Inc. developed its first product, OSES, the Organizational Safety Effectiveness Survey, in order to assist companies in assessing their status as a High Reliability Organization (HRO), and to identify the strategies needed to become a successful HRO. The company has expanded its survey offering by developing the High Reliability Organizational Effectiveness Survey (HROES®). The HROES® applies the same high reliability organizational principles as OSES, but enlarges the scope of the original OSES survey for application in industries that are at risk, but not necessarily from physical hazards. Such industries include Banking, Finance and Insurance Services, and other industries whose faulty risk culture may lead to catastrophic failure. The expertise provided by Human Factors Associates, Inc. is exemplified by work accomplished by Dr. Anthony Ciavarelli, who has over 40 years experience in human factors, aviation safety education, military training development, and applied organizational psychology. His Partners and Associates join him in his efforts to improve individual, team and organizational performance.
